For “Tell It Like a Woman”, female directors and actresses from the film industry gathered from around the world to create a 7 work anthology of stories about women.
The theme song “Applause” was nominated at the 95th Academy Awards.

“A Week in My Life”, a film that sketches the shape of a family, overflows with Japanese sensibility. In it, Watanabe Anne portrays a single mother being grinded down by work and child rearing.
It is the first film since “You’re a Good Kid” 8 years ago for director Mipo O, whose “The Light Shine Only There” received wide global acclaim.
＜Synopsis of “A Week in My Life”＞
Yuki works every day without rest in order to take care of her two children, Aya and Towa. Her mornings start in a rush. She makes breakfast, does the laundry, vacuums the house, sends Aya to school then Towa to daycare, then goes to work at the deli. In the afternoon she picks up her kids and takes them to their lessons. Once home she makes dinner, runs the bath, and puts her kids to bed, then thinks of new menus for her lunchboxes. She goes to sleep after midnight, and every day the busy routine repeats.
